Responsibilities

Coordinating meetings, presentations, and seminars

Answering requests for information from citizens, partnering agencies, and general public

Managing the agency’s language access program and training

Serving as the agency’s customer service unit

Conducting awareness training for new city employees through the new hire orientation

Handling special projects for example, ensuring the Eagle Scout Leadership Projects are met for some of our local Boy Scout Troops

Supporting all of the other divisions of HSEMA

Conduct a table-top exercise for the deaf and hard of hearing

Conduct at least three community-based all-hazards seminars with interpreters and translators for Limited English Proficient Groups who speak Spanish, Chinese, French, Korean, Vietnamese, Korean, and Amharic

Conduct one functional exercise of the city’s emergency alert notification system

Upgrade and enhance the agency’s social media capacity by assessing its current social media platforms and studying monthly trends of social media and emergency preparedness

Conduct four all-hazards business continuity, response, and recovery workshops and engage the private sector in training, exercises, and outreach
-
Conduct eight all-hazards community preparedness and response seminars for the city’s wards
