About the Program

The DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency’s internship program provides real-world knowledge and experience in emergency management, homeland security efforts, and intelligence analysis.
Our Internship Program seeks qualified graduate and undergraduate students who are interested in or who are majoring in the following or similar field(s):

A highly qualified applicant will possess the following: self-motivation, attention to detail, critical thinking skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Internship Opportunities

The HSEMA Internship Program is offered in three sessions each year: Fall, Summer and Spring with six unique directorates listed below.
