Community Engagement
The Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA) Community Engagement Team offers a wide array of community engagement opportunities related to emergency preparedness The team’s mission is to promote emergency preparedness throughout the District through education, training, seminars, and public events. The team’s methodology includes an assessment of all threats and hazards to District businesses, residents, and visitors—providing emergency preparedness information based on risk and exposure by Ward.
Community Engagement Events
The Community Engagement Team hosts or participates in at least two (2) events per Ward, per quarter (three-month period). Please visit the Community Engagement Calendar for scheduled events.
