Michigan Park Christian Church is offering an opportunity for residents of Ward 5 to learn how to prepare for emergencies. Come out and hear from DC HSEMA about the District's preparedness campaign, ReadyDC and the Metropolitan Police Department will also attend to discuss how to respond during an active shooter situation.

Congress Heights Senior Wellness Center Community Information Fair
Congress Heights Senior Wellness Center is preparing Seniors for emergencies by hosting a community information fair for seniors and those with access and functional needs! DC HSEMA is invited to share guidance and provide resources that will help this population to evaluate their individual needs and make emergency plans that fit those needs.
Samuel Kelsey Apartments Emergency Preparedness and Active Shooter Presentation
The Samuel Kelsey Apartments located in Ward 1 is preparing residents for all-hazards. The District Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and DC HSEMA are invited to present on emergency preparedness. HSEMA will highlight information found on the District preparedness website, ReadyDC and MPD will present on responding in an active shooter situation. All Ward 1 residents are encouraged to attend this hightly anticipated event.
Elizabeth Fonteneau Senior Wellness Center Community Fair
The Elizabeth Fonteneau Senior Wellness Center, in partnership with the District Office on Aging, is hosting a Senior wellness fair for the Ward 1 community and members of the Mary Center. DC HSEMA is giving a presentation on the importance of preparing in advance of an emergency or disaster tailored to seniors and those with disabilities and access and functional needs.
Hayes Senior Wellness Center Health and Resource Fair
Hayes Senior Wellness Center is proud to host a Health and Resource Fair for Ward 6 Seniors, individuals with disabilities, and those with access and functional needs. DC HSEMA will be there sharing information on the District's preparedness site, ReadyDC with a focus on how seniors and those with disabilities and access and functional needs can be aware, make a plan, build a kit and stay informed!

The District Office on Aging and Visionary Square Apartments have partnered to host the First Annual Resources and Health Fair! Ward 7 residents are welcome to attend this event to receive helpful and potentially life-saving information and resources.
